Sonography is one type of diagnostic medical procedure that helps doctors better assess patient needs and provide effective treatment by giving them access to better information about people’s medical problems. Sonographer jobs and the many different sonographer careers represent a critical and essential occupation within the Healthcare industry, which is why sonography salaries are so lucrative compared to the relatively short sonographer training period required to achieve industry certification.

Sonography serves a wide array of medical occupations, from a diagnostics team in a hospital, to the staff of a small private doctors practice, performing a wide variety of specialized assesment tasks. One example of a sonographers daily assignments includes performing ultrasounds to check the health of a patient’s heart.
